Who we are

We have been building a team of dedicated and talented employees, they are the driving force behind what we do, they have invested a lot of energy in the development of our business here in the Ogoki Forest. We place primary importance on the personal and professional development of each of them, and we try to give our employees every opportunity to better reach their goals and full potential.

Wolverine Forest Products Ltd has been fortunate to work closely with Agoke Development Limited Partnership (ADLP), formed back in 2015 by the Aroland First Nation, Eabametoong First Nation and Marten Falls First Nation. ADLP's primary purpose is working together on forest management and business ventures. Together, ADLP and WFP manage the harvesting operations and forest roads on the Ogoki Forest which is located 400kms northeast of Thunder Bay.

Wolverine Forest Products takes pride in emphasizing safety, quality, sustainability, and efficiency in our forest operations.

What we do

Forestry Road Building

  • Our own active road building crew
  • Fleet of excavators
  • Fleet of rock trucks, dump trucks
  • Fleet of bulldozers

Road Maintenance

  • Responsible for the maintenance of approximately 400km of primary forest roads, plus branch and tertiary (cutblock roads)
  • Our own crew for road maintenance
  • Fleet of graders
  • Fleet of sand trucks, belly-dumps
  • Fleet of loaders
  • Float (lowbed) trucks
  • Screening plant
  • Dedicated field mechanic with service truck

Harvesting

  • Contracted harvesters
  • Contracted flagging and boundary line walkers
  • Woodlands operations support staff
  • Harvest areas SPF (Spruce, Jack Pine, Fir) with moderate terrain and moderate winter ground
  • Long-term timber supply
  • Log, road building and haul Season is year round

Mechanical Repairs

  • Large fully equipped heavy equipment shop
  • Certified qualified heavy equipment and truck and coach mechanics

Remote Camp

  • Four season individual camp trailers
  • Shower and bathroom facility
  • Starlink internet
  • Security cameras
  • Generator supplied electricity
